Our pals over at the Ram Zone blog are always on the prowl for comparison tests, and they have wrapped up a nice little video on the Ram 1500′s towing prowess. (For the competition, well, it’s a lump of reality coal).
Ram engineers put the Ram 1500 Larmie against Ford F-150 Lariat, which was equipped with Ford’s maximum towing package. Each trailer was loaded to a gross combined weight of 15,500 lbs. The two trailer-hauling trucks were through a series of real-life tests, including an uphill towing scenario. As the video shows, the Ram literally rises to the occasion.
